KNYSNA NEWS - Students, staff and volunteers of Hands and Heart skills development centre enjoyed a tremendous day of bowls at the Knysna Bowling club on Friday 29 July.
The aims of the day were team building, recreation and relaxation, a time of getting to know one another outside of the work environment, strengthening existing relationships.
The day began at 09:30, and after hamburgers and cooldrinks for lunch, ended about 14:00 with a prize-giving ceremony.
Once play had started, they soon discovered that there were some budding bowling stars among the group (aside from the two students who had previously played in a bowling league).
"We saw great form among them, and we are considering putting together a business league team, that Jeremy Middleton has personally offered to coach. Thank you Jeremy!" said Bev Nel of Hands & Heart.
"We would like to thank everyone of the Knysna Bowling Club for their contribution and the wonderful support of Hands & Heart. It was an extremely fun outing which we hope to repeat again!"
Lerato Stallenberg gives the bowl a roll.
