GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - In partnership with the Eden Sport Council, the Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) will host the Eden/Garden Route's first-ever Municipal Sports Indaba Thursday, 23 April.

This landmark event, the first of its kind in the Western Cape, will bring together key stakeholders in the sporting sector, including representatives from the Western Cape Government's Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, led by Minister Ricardo Mackenzie. Executive mayors, local municipal representatives, members of the Eden Sport Council and various sports federations from across the district are also expected to attend.

The indaba aims to create an inclusive platform for discussion and collaboration, with a strong focus on strengthening partnerships and improving sport structures throughout the Garden Route district.

The organisers say the initiative marks an important step towards building a more co-ordinated and effective sporting environment, ensuring that opportunities for development and participation are expanded at all levels.
