SPORTS NEWS - Fraaisig Primary School in Knysna is the proud new owner of a multipurpose sports field.
Since 2015, Builders and SuperSport have constructed six sports fields at various school across South Africa. Fraaisig Primary School is the second school in 2017 to receive such a field. This partnership enables schools in various communities to be more active in physical education and sports, which could create future soccer legends.
To mark the celebration of the new grounds, 10 schools recently participated in the Builders soccer tournament. The tournament aims to bring schools and communities together to benefit from new facilities and contribute to soccer development as well as offer children a platform to showcase their talents.
The tournament is not the only initiative these children have benefited from. Participating schools received physical education training from Active Education coaches, who paid a weekly visit to each school on an ongoing basis to introduce both boys and girls to the wonderful world of sports.

Active Education holds a partnership agreement with the Department of Basic Education, which allows them access to the schools and the local district office.
The unveiling of the sports field will happen on Friday, August 4 in Gladstone Street, Knysna, 11:00 to 14:00.
