GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Set to be held this Friday, 28 July, the annual Eden Sport Awards is back to recognise nothing short of the best of the Garden Route's wider sporting fraternity.
It is a key event on the annual calendar of the Eden Sport Council, the authoritative body that oversees the running and organising of sport in the Garden Route District.
The awards are also not limited to the star athletes who take to the field, court, swimming pool or whatever playing surface they choose to make magic on. Instead it also includes administrators, coaches and other members of the sporting community, such as the media and photographers.
There is a wide variety of categories in which people can be nominated, and this week the Eden Sport Council confirmed who will be in line to receive awards this year.
Nominated in the Newcomer of the Year category, Damon Terblanche.
