KNYSNA NEWS - The epic Dragon Boat Tug of War will take place at Knysna Waterfront on Sunday, 23 June from 10:00 to 14:00. Organisers call on everybody with an adventurous spirit to book their place now.
"This is your chance to be part of a thrilling and unique team challenge," they say.
The fun event entails that teams of four paddle head-to-head in the same Dragon Boat, trying to get their side of the boat across the line first.
"It's a battle of strategy, teamwork, and pure grit! No time limit, just pure endurance and lots of fun," organisers say. Each team has three qualifying battles on Saturday, 22 June with knock-outs starting at 12:30.
The tug of war is fun for everyone, whether you're competing or cheering from the sidelines.
There will also be a "best dressed team" competition, and delicious food and cold beer will be available for enthusiastic cheerers to soothe that hoarse throat. Plus, there will be lucky draws at the prize-giving on the Sunday.
