KNYSNA NEWS - The team from KnysnaX Sporting Events got together once more last weekend, this time to hold their second Cupid Run at Pezula Resort Hotel and Spa on Saturday 10 April.
While the first event was held in the month of love, on Saturday 13 February, and named after the Greek god of love himself, the second was held in April to perhaps also commemorate falling in love, albeit more foolishly, on 1 April.
The race, which was informal and more in the name of fun than anything else, was run over 5,3km across the Pezula Championship Course, traversing cart paths all along the course's front nine holes.
This portion of the golf course is known for its stunning views of the town and of course the Knysna estuary, which at sunset offered runners extra motivation to push through the hilly and testing route.

Runners were given two hours, between 17:00 and 19:00, to complete their run, setting off in staggered stages to allow for sufficient social distancing at the starting line.
André Els and Marietjie Brümmer travelled from Plett for the run.
Everyone seemed to forget about their troubles once they were out and running on the course, with the views and the magnificent sunset coming together to make it a memorable run.
While the event was timed through a non-contact system, the majority of people took part to simply have some fun and spread the love.
Once participants wrapped up their run, they were able to enjoy some downtime at the restaurant in the golf course clubhouse before setting off to enjoy the rest of their weekend.
Cameron Forbes powered on alongside his dad during the run.
