KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Angling Club is proud to once again announce that two of its members have been selected to represent the South Africa Light Tackle Boat Angling Association in two different upcoming tournaments.
Gerrie Barnard was selected for the fifth time to represent the Proteas Light Tackle Boat fishing team. Barnard achieved a second place in the 2016 European Boat and Line class championships in Ireland.
He leaves for Portugal in September to fish for South Africa.
The other angler who was selected is Louis Theron. He has been awarded Protea colours and is currently competing in the EFSA European Boat & Line Class Championships at Helsingør, Denmark, from 8 August to 12 August.
"The Knysna Angling club has many members who have achieved Protea and provincial colours, and we would like to wish our anglers every success overseas. Well done Knysna Angling Club," said chairman Glynn van Straaten.
