BOWLING NEWS - That bowls is a sport for all ages became evident at the recent Bowls SA Junior National Tournament held in Bloemfontein.
In the first round of the Eden Mixed Pairs competition, ex Protea bowler Thinus Oelofse (42) teamed up with his daughter Karlien (11) to win their section, while grandpa Nico Oelofse (65) played with his granddaughter Karla (8) and Kurt Steyn (46) teamed up with his daughter Kaila (12).
All three of these pairs hail from Outeniqua Bowling Club.
Oudtshoorn was not to be left behind in the "generation game", with Marthinus Geldenhuys (41) playing alongside his daughter Inge (11).
