KNYSNA NEWS - Forty-eight top bowlers from across the country gathered at the Knysna Bowling Club over last weekend to participate in the inaugural Knysna Bowling Club Centenary Mixed Singles Tournament.
The event was sponsored by Fairtree Capital and Currency Assist.
The entire competition was conducted with the use of a digital platform and app specifically developed by the Professional Bowling Association with the support of Fairtree Capital.
The app allowed for seamless administration, live scoring, and real-time match updates, enabling players to focus on their game and spectators - in person or remotely - to follow every bowl with ease.
After a round-robin stage, eight bowlers emerged as section winners:

- Donald Olivier
- Guy Etherington
- Zakes Salimane
- Brett Clark
- Chris Baker
In a high-quality final, Zakes Salimane triumphed over Donald Olivier to claim the inaugural title.
