GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The annual awards of the Eden Modern Pentathlon Association (MPA) took place on Saturday 19 November, where various athletes received awards for their performances during the 2022 season in Laser Run, Biathle, Triathle and Tetrathlon.
The Junior Victor Ludorum was awarded to Wanru Haasbroek and the Junior Victrix Ludorum went to Marilie Duvenage. The Victor Ludorum went to Johan Windt and Victrix Ludorum to Esrie Loock-Bezuidenhout.
The following athletes received the Top Performer awards in their respective catagories:
Laser run:
Albert Myburgh and Duné Haasbroek (Primary School Boy and Girl), Divan Rossouw and Marilie Duvenage (High School Boy and Girl), followed by Neytwin Laminie (Senior Men), Bertus Myburgh and Lenka Rossouw (Masters 40+), Theo Rossouw (Masters 50+) and Johan Windt (Masters 60+).
Biathle:
Wanru and Duné Haasbroek (Primary School Boy and Girl), Stef Schoeman and Marilie Duvenage / Annabelle McEvan (High School Boy and Girl), Bertus Myburgh and Esrie Loock-Bezuidenhout (Masters 40+) and Johan Windt (Masters 60+).
Triathle:
Wanru and Duné Haasbroek (Primary School Boy and Girl), Stef Schoeman and Marilie Duvenage (High School Boy and Girl), Bertus Myburgh (Masters 40+) and Johan Windt (Masters 60+).
Tetrathlon:
Zian Windt and Tonya Schoeman (High School Boy and Girl) and Johan Windt (Masters 60+).
Laser Run clinic:
Eden MPA will be hosting another exciting Laser Run Development Clinic on Saturday 3 December at Oakdale Agricultural School in Riversdale, with registration at 09:00. No entry fee and no experience is needed. Ages from 6 years to 90+.
