All eyes on Absa Cape Epic this Sunday
It’s Absa Cape Epic time!

GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The 2024 Absa Cape Epic kicks off this Sunday 17 March in Stellenbosch and Group Editors’ Jeff Ayliffe will be there to provide daily updates of the gruelling 617km race.

During the 8-day Epic, cyclists will climb a total of 16 500m from Lourensford Wine Estate in Stellenbosch and back.

Known as the Tour de France of Africa, this 20th Epic’s route is, as usual, filled with huge challenges. At a rate of 27 metres of elevation gain per kilometre, the cyclists will have to give it their all… and then some more.

Many Garden Route cyclists are also taking part and on 24 March we will know who was tough enough to master the 2024 Absa Cape Epic route, presented by Toyota. Stay tuned!
