PLETTENBERG BAY GOLF NEWS - The annual PGA Pro-Am tournament was held in Plettenberg Bay with some of the best golfers along the Southern Cape taking to Goose Valley Golf course.
The event was hosted in conjunction with sponsors Cape Summer Villas, at the Goose Valley Golf Club on Monday 23 November and saw 16 of the area's PGA professionals and their teams play for the title.
Each team had one professional and three amateurs playing a four-ball alliance with two scores to count, as well as the PGA professionals competing in their own section against each other.
The winning team was professional Andrew Jamieson of Scratch Golf and his amateurs Eugene Kok, Glen Moller and Ruan Smit.
The winning professional was Terence Boardman of Simola with a score of three under par.
Head PGA professional at the Goose Valley Golf Club, Daniel Gouws, thanked the sponsors on behalf of the club. "I would like to thank our sponsors for what was called the best event thus far on the Southern Cape PGA calendar and we look forward to next year's event, which may bring a two-day event with more to play for," he said.
The winning teams received golf equipment, five-star accommodation vouchers and hampers.
The prize-giving was held at Sky Villa with a fantastic spread of salads, desserts and a lamb spit braai.
