KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Sedgefield Hospice held a successful golf day at the Knysna Golf Course on Sunday despite a wet start to the morning.
A full field of golfers turned out in support of the event.
Over R65 000 in prizes were generously donated, with a fun raffle featuring a community-filled wheelbarrow won by one of the first-place golfers.
The course was buzzing with energy thanks to exciting activities such as the chipping challenge.
The other fun challenge was where golfers had to battle marshmallows over a tee box.
One of the organisers of the event, Kim Joubert, thanked all the sponsors involved.
"All funds raised help Knysna Sedgefield Hospice continue providing free, home-based palliative care to those with serious and life-limiting illnesses.
"This golf day was a true celebration of community, compassion, and care," she said.
Despite initial wet weather, the day turned out great.
