FOOTBALL NEWS - Hornlee-based football club FC Rebels were recently crowned the winners of the KLFA Domestic League, shortly before finishing third in the Safa Eden LFA Winners Playoffs.
Rebels were top of the Domestic League table for much of the season, and had sealed their league triumph with two games left to play.
Sadly they couldn't end the season on a high, losing their final Domestic League game 4-3 against Pine Stars.
As winners of the league, they represented the Knysna Local Football Association in the Safa Eden LFA Winners Play-offs.
These play-offs are held between the winners of the six different local football associations (LFA) in the Safa Eden region to determine which two sides will be promoted to the Safa Eden Men's Regional League for the 2023/24 season.
Sadly for FC Rebels it wasn't meant to be as they finished third in standings with NMU George and Thembu Royals (from Mossel Bay) qualifying for next season's Men's Regional League.
