PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Just before the Western Cape ABC Motsepe League fixtures resumes after the festive season break, the newly promoted Oriented Birds FC from Plettenberg Bay has parted ways with their head coach, Marx Banzi, by mutual agreement.
The former Kaizer Chiefs front man led the Oriented Birds to the semi-professional football league.
Banzi, fondly known as Mdose, was in the driving seat for the Birds when they were crowned the Safa Eden Regional Men's League champions. They claimed their title after winning 26 league games and drawing four. He also won the regional Nedbank Cup Competition.
But, his journey with the Birds has come to an end. Oriented Birds have so far lost three of the four games they played in the Western Cape ABC Motsepe league, winning only one.
It's been a far from an ideal start to the semi-professional league for the Plett outfit, but they will be hoping to turn things around in the new year.
