KNYSNA NEWS - The Hornlee-based FC Rebels are hopeful of a stronger showing in the 2025/26 Safa Eden Regional Men's League after spending several seasons fighting relegation.
Head coach Testony "Rasta" Sinclair, who took over full-time duties early last season, believes stability and renewed focus can help turn their fortunes around.
His coaching journey began while serving as a player-coach, learning from experienced mentors along the way.
Rebels were promoted to the Safa Eden Elite Regional Men's League in the 2022/23 season and, despite league struggles, have enjoyed success in cup competitions, winning both the Easter Soccer Tournament and Oyster Festival titles.
Sinclair praised his players, supporters and club management for their continued commitment and trust, describing the fans as the team's "12th man".
He also highlighted the club's talented young goalkeepers, noting their potential to reach higher levels with consistent training and discipline.
