PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Oriented Birds Football Club missed the perfect chance to close the gap in their bid for a Provincial League playoff spot.
The high-flying Birds, in a Western Cape ABC Motsepe League game, played to a goalless draw against Ammar Soccer Academy from Cape Winelands at Kwanokuthula Stadium on Saturday 8 March.
The Birds are presently in second position in the log in the semi-professional league, behind Hanover Park FC (Cape Town Region), who are currently dominating stream B and are sitting comfortably at the top of the log with 33 points.
The Birds have played 14 games, winning eight, drawing four and losing two, and have 28 points.
