CRICKET NEWS - South Africans have been given the chance to directly inspire the Proteas as they strive towards glory in England and Wales. New Balance, (the team’s official technical supplier) alongside Cricket South Africa, is urging Proteas fans to send a message declaring their Proteas allegiance, showing their passion for the team and encouraging them to seize their opportunities. The best messages of support will be selected to feature in a one-of-a-kind book that will travel with the squad, providing an illustration of South Africa’s unwavering support and to serve as a source of motivation ahead of each match.

The unique book forms a part of #WornAsOne, a campaign designed to celebrate the diverse make-up of the Proteas team, their supporters and the strength that this brings them. It is also a challenge to the current team and supporters alike to remember that although we may be different, we’re all playing for a common purpose.

Proteas Captain, Faf du Plessis said, “The Proteas are proud to have South Africans from all cultures and backgrounds behind us whenever we take the field. This is an immense source of strength for us as a team. We are also proud to be a catalyst with the ability to bring South Africans together under one banner – support for the Proteas.
