PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - For the second week running, Plettenberg Bay Pioneers came up trumps in both of their club cricket games last weekend.
Pioneers' first team secured a win against Ramblers on Saturday 15 January while their second team beat Knysna Cavaliers' third team the following day.
Cavaliers' first team however ensured they stay top of the Premier League with a win over Sussex on Saturday. Kranshoek Dolphins meanwhile overcame Blanco on Saturday in Promotion League B. Both Pirates United's teams enjoyed a weekend off.
Plett Pioneers A vs Ramblers A
The two sides faced off in New Horizons and it was the visitors who batted first. Ramblers' top-scorer, Gert Swart, made his way to 42 as his side was bowled out for 132. Dewet Goedhals was Pioneers' best bowler, taking five wickets for 32 runs in 10 overs.
In the home side's run chase, Robert Cunningham top-scored with 57 to help steer Pioneers to a five-wicket win. Meanwhile, Linford Crotz was Ramblers' best bowler with two wickets for 37 runs in 10 overs.
Knysna Cavaliers A vs Sussex A
Playing at Loerie Park, the Mossel Bay side won the toss and chose to bat first. Sussex opening batsman Levin Muller was their top-scorer with 61 runs as his side reached 152 before being bowled out. Keenan Vieira was the pick of the Cavaliers bowlers with three wickets for 32 runs in nine overs.
Vieira was the star of the Cavaliers' chase of the target with 51 not out as the men from Knysna earned a seven-wicket win to remain at the top of the table. Ravin-Lee Kemmies was Sussex's best bowler with two wickets for 31 runs in 10 overs.

Kranshoek Dolphins vs Blanco
The game was played in Blanco and the home side batted first. Blanco batting struggled and Ronawill Human top-scored with 19 as his side was ultimately bowled out for 82. Heinrich van Wyk was the Dolphins' best bowler with four wickets for 20 runs in five overs.
John Koopman steered the Dolphins' run chase with an unbeaten 47 as the men from Kranshoek earned a six-wicket win. Palash Mohammed and Marco Hannees shared the spoils for Blanco's bowlers, claiming two wickets each.

Knysna Cavaliers C vs Plett Pioneers B
The only game on Sunday for CX clubs was played at Loerie Park, and the Cavaliers chose to bat first after winning the toss. Wessel Croukamp top-scored for the home team as they were bowled out for 150.
Leighton Jonas was Pioneers' best bowler, claiming three wickets for 16 runs in seven overs.
Pioneers' opening batsmen put on a fine batting display. Jacques Arendse top-scored with 100* while Lumko Maart (24 runs) played a supporting role as they helped their side secure a 10-wicket win.
Hennie Jonk was Cavaliers' best bowler, conceding 14 runs in his six overs.
