Merlin Masimela, SWD Cricket's youth cricket co-ordinator, was recently awarded his Cricket SA level 3 coaching certificate.
Masimela, who has been involved in coaching for more than 10 years, is a former SWD First Class player.
A CSA level 3 accredited coach will have a clear understanding of the CSA brand, playing and coaching philosophies, as well as the relevant (current period) CSA Strategic Plan, and will be able to describe them in detail.
The cricket services manager, Gary Moos, congratulated Masimela with this qualification. "His commitment and dedication must be complimented, and we are glad for this addition to his qualifications and skills set."
