KNYSNA NEWS - Three employees of South Western Districts (SWD) Cricket were honoured with a 20 years' continuous service certificate at the recent SWD Cricket Awards at the Wilderness Hotel in George.
One of the recipients was the CEO, Albertus Kennedy, who was appointed as the GM in September 2004 with the opening of a full-time office administration. The position was upgraded to CEO in 2010.
The second, Zenobia Nel, the HR administrator and executive assistant to the company, has been in service of SWD Cricket since October 2004 when she was appointed as the administrative assistant.
Pieter Stuurman, who also represented SWD Cricket as a first-class cricketer, started as a development coach and has been holding the position of club and facilities co-ordinator since 2012.
Handing over the award, Adv Michelle Weyers, a non-independent director at SWD Cricket, applauded these employees for their commitment, dedication and sacrifices in paving the way for SWD Cricket's success.
