KNYSNA NEWS - Great spirit was displayed at the Oakhill College interhouse events – an annual highlight at the start of every year.

Learners took to the fields at the Oakhill sports campus at the end of January for a week’s worth of athletics building up to the final interhouse athletics day on 26 January. 

The athletes gave their all, with a number of records broken and some tightly contested races.

In the same week, the interhouse swimming gala took place, also with many tight finishes as well as some hilarious fun events.

Bendigo House took the trophy home for both athletics and swimming, with special congratulations going to the following students who excelled:

• John Tanner – junior victor ludorum for athletics and swimming)

• Alex Bridge – junior victrix ludorum for athletics)

• Aimee Canny – junior victrix ludorum for swimming)

• Juandré Barnard – senior victor ludorum for athletics)

• Charné de Wet – senior victrix ludorum for athletics)

• Jamie Hattingh – senior victrix ludorum for swimming)

• Joshua Smith – senior victor ludorum for swimming)
