PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Three athletes from Greenwood Bay College recently excelled in their respective sports disciplines. Rebecca and Jason Botha shone at the SA Sprint Orienteering Championships and the Gauteng Middle and Long Distance Championships.
Rebecca came first in the U12 girls age group at the SA Sprint Orienteering Championships, before winning in both the middle- and long-distance championships.
Jason finished second at the SA Sprint Orienteering Championships and also went on to win both the middle- and long-distance championships
The other GBC athlete to excel recently is Jeandré Lodewyks, who took part in the 42nd Freda Barnard Gala in George earlier this month.
She competed as part of the host (Fish Eagle Aquatics) team and placed third in the girls 12 year-olds 200m breaststroke.
