KNYSNA NEWS - Athletes from primary schools in Knysna performed excellently last Friday, 31 January in the interschool athletics meeting which was hosted at the Knysna High School sportsgrounds.
The participating teams were from Sunridge Primary School, Fraaisig Primary School, Hornlee Primary School, Concordia Primary School, Knysna Primary School, Bracken Hill Ek Primary School, Chris Nissen Primary School, Thembelitsha Primary School, Rheenendal Primary School, Riverwood Primary School, Oakhill, KEC Primary School and Knysna Montessori School.
Each school brought its best athletes, contributing to a highly competitive yet spirited atmosphere throughout the day.
Camaraderie

The competition was fierce, but the spirit of camaraderie and encouragement was evident, as learners cheered each other on, supporting their teammates and competitors alike.
Knysna team
After the conclusion of the athletics meeting a Knysna team was selected that will compete in this weekend's KPSSS (Knysna-Plett-Sedgefield) athletics meeting at Wittedrift High School in Plettenberg Bay, with proceedings starting at 08:30 on Saturday 8 February.
The sprinting category, as usual, was a fan favourite.
From here a team will be selected to compete in the Eden athletics championship, which will be hosted on 22 February in Oudtshoorn at the Arnold de Jager athletics course.
