The course was very steep but straight forward with no technical riding. This made conditions perfect for light-weight non-technical riders to perform well on.
The most notable performance came from Bridget O'Meara who had to participate in a higher category and yet was still placed third overall and attained a bronze medal.
CCC riders who took part were:
Devin Kruger youth boys 14th; Benjamin Gilliomee youth boys 21st; Tayla Odendaal junior women 6th; Brandon Willcocks junior men 17th; Claudia Slattery elite women 7th; Marthinus Esmeyer elite men 11th; Bridget O'Meara vet women B 3rd; Paul Micklewood vet men A 11th; Jeffrey Willcocks vet men A 13th; Chris Nel vet men B 5th; Steve Moul Master men A 6th.
