KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna High School learner Shawn Nduna earned the opportunity of a lifetime when he was selected to represent South Africa at the World Union of Karate-Do Federations' (WUKF) 14th World Karate Championships in Romania later this year.
Nduna has been included in the WUKF South African karate team that will compete in Cluj-Napoca from 16 to 26 July, where the country's top karate athletes will test themselves against some of the best competitors from around the world.
Adding to the significance of his achievement, Nduna will also attend international karate seminars presented by some of the world's leading instructors ahead of the championships.
His selection is further recognition of years of dedication, discipline and hard work in the sport.
Nduna will receive his Martial Arts South Africa (Masa) Presidential Colours, one of the highest accolades awarded to martial artists representing the country.
Knysna High School has congratulated the talented karateka on his achievement and wished him every success as he prepares for this prestigious international event.
