KNYSNA NEWS - Former Knysna mayor and ANC councillor Aubrey Tsengwa has resigned from the council with immediate effect.
Tsengwa was ousted as mayor in a no-confidence vote brought by Neil Louw of the EFF, a coalition partner in council, on 14 February.
His departure leaves a vacancy in Ward 8, which will now be contested in a by-election.
Western Cape MEC for local government Anton Bredell is expected to rule soon on his investigation into the conduct of councillors at the Knysna Municipality, which could have impacted on Tsengwa.
