GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - For the upcoming national and provincial elections this year, voting stations around the country will be open this weekend from 08:00 to 17:00 on both Saturday and Sunday to allow first-time voters to register and those already registered, to check their registration details and update it if necessary.
According to the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC), this is the final weekend to do so.
Registered voters can also visit the IEC website to check their current details and voting station location, or they can send an SMS with their ID number to 32810 (charged at R1) to do so.
Unregistered voters can insert their address in the Voting Station Finder application on the website to find their correct voting station or call the contact centre.

- Ward 2 - Sedgefield town hall and Karatara community hall
- Ward 3 - Chris Hani community hall, Uncedo Taxi Association office and Hlalani Methodist Church
- Ward 4 - Chris Nissen Primary School, Concordia Methodist Church, St Peter's Anglican Church And Buffelsnek Primary School
- Ward 5 - Belvidere Anglican Church, Brenton council offices, Rheenendal community centre, Buffelsbay Dutch Reformed Church and Qhinta De Montanha
- Ward 6 - Vermont Old Age Home, Hornlee Primary School and Hornlee community hall
