NATIONAL NEWS - Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma has been nominated by 454 branches to become ANC president and not 433 as previously announced.
The latest figures come after a delegate raised discrepancies in the number of branches that were proclaimed on Monday.
The announcement was made by the Elexions Agency a short while ago during an open session at the KwaZulu-Natal provincial general council.
Cyril Ramaphosa, who had been tipped that 193 branches nominated him, has had his number reduced by two.
The Elexions Agency's Bontle Mpakanyane explained: “Comrade Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma had received 433. From the altering of the Abaqulusi region, the numbers have moved. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma’s nomination from ranches increases from 433 to 454.”
