Doctor Jonathan Scholtz, who first assessed Pistorius in 2014, has compiled a new report after consulting with him recently.
Pistorius will be sentenced again after the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) found him guilty of murder and not culpable homicide, as Judge Thokozile Masipa had previously found.
Scholtz has told the High Court in Pretoria that the former athlete is ‘an ill and broken man’, who should be hospitalised.
During cross examination, Scholtz said Pistorius talked about his ‘intention’ to shoot.
