KNYSNA NEWS - A 91-year-old woman was taken to hospital in an ambulance after a collision occurred between a Toyota Yaris and a tipper truck on Main Street in Knysna at about 14:30 on Tuesday 22 September.
The woman was the driver of the Yaris. According to an official statement from the police, it is alleged that the Yaris travelled down Montagu Street before colliding with the truck on Main Street.
"The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance. Knysna police opened a case of reckless and negligent driving, and the investigation is continuing," the statement read.
Just over an hour before this incident, at about 13:10, the police had responded to another collision between two vehicles on the N2 highway near the turn-off to Brenton-on-Sea.
No injuries were reported, and police said only an accident report was filed.
