Eldorado Park police spokesperson Captain Solomon Khorombi said Luciano Jacobs, 17, was murdered by his friend following the alleged argument.
The suspect appeared in court on Friday.
According to the Jacobs’ aunt, Lerencia Kroats, he got into an argument over R8 after he refused to give it to his friend, Westside-Eldos reported.
“The friend then stabbed Jacobs in his chest and throat before fleeing the scene. He died on the scene,” added Kroats.
Kroats said Jacobs, who was reportedly on drugs, recently told a community worker that he wanted to change his lifestyle and become a better person.
