NATIONAL NEWS - The death of a Copesville young man for his takkies and leather jacket has led to outrage in the community.
The thugs that stabbed a young Copesville man in the neck had no remorse as their victim fell to the ground, his life ebbing away as he desperately tried to stop the bleeding. Instead, the three hoodlums stripped him of his leather jacket, pulled his white Converse sneakers off his feet and then fled into the nearby bushes.
24-year-old Michael Thomas died where he collapsed.
In the hours preceding the incident last Friday, Thomas, together with a friend, left Copesville on foot to run an errand in Raisethorpe. On their way back they decided to take a short-cut and this decision led them directly into harm’s way.
