NATIONAL NEWS - Among the many who took to Twitter to express their strong feelings about the Ashwin Willemse SuperSport walkout, two companies from the Western Cape found themselves in Twitter’s hot water, after employees made racial tweets.

Sky Banners SA from Stellenbosch tweeted, “@Ashwinwillemse what the wrong with you Ashwin? I know an excellent psychiatrist… Perhaps lay off the papsak bro…” and “Grow up bro. Tomorrow morning when you sober up you will continue living your miserable racist life. Let’s forget the past bro and move forward. How difficult can that be.”

The company has since deleted the tweets and set its Twitter account to private.

The second company was FPS Attorneys, a law firm from Cape Town that said: “Ashwill had a big brain fart on SuperSport hope not to see him again go kry [sic] in the corner #Supersport #Supersportrugby #aswillgrowup.”

The law firm has since deleted the tweets and issued an apology.

Here were some other popular tweets: Chimwemwe @ ChimzOwambo: “My nephew […] gets tossed between the A and the B team because they need to show ‘diversity’ for the A team but every time they come home he is taken back to the B team. Willemse was right to do that. #AshwinWillemse.”
