NATIONAL NEWS - A three-year-old girl was attacked and killed by a family dog in Toekomsrus late on Monday afternoon, 5 August.
According to a family spokesperson, who wishes to remain anonymous at this point, the toddler died on her way to Leratong Hospital. The attack occurred at about 17:15.
The Herald was also able to confirm that the dog was a pit bull and has since been surrendered to the Rand West SPCA.
