NATIONAL NEWS & VIDEO - A special welcoming event was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Stockholm on Sunday 28 August, where South African Minister of Water and Sanitation Senzo Mchunu welcomed all SA delegates attending the 2022 Stockholm World Water Week.
The event was opened by Department of Water and Sanitation Director-General Dr Sean Phillips, before South African Ambassador to Sweden Brigitte Mabandla welcomed her fellow South Africans to Stockholm and Sweden.
She was followed by Mchunu, who was excited to be in Sweden for the 2022 Stockholm World Water Week.
"Everybody should want to be here, to share experiences, and to learn new ways of doing things, whether it's in technology or any other matter related to water," Mchunu said.
After the event he also spoke more on the importance of South African participation in the week-long conference.
