Police did not identify him but issued a brief statement stating: “A body of a … man was found by the police inside a vehicle with gunshot wound to his head on the corners of Montery and Upper Bebbinto Road in Bishpscourt. An inquest case is under investigation. No one has been arrested at this stage”.
Guy Kebble‚ a former Springbok rugby prop turned businessman‚ confirmed to radio journalist Mandy Wiener‚ author of the book‚ “Killing Kebble: An Underworld Exposed”‚ that his father shot himself in his car in Cape Town this afternoon.
He said his father had been feeling unwell for some time and he felt that he was becoming a burden. Guy Kebble said he does not believe there was any foul play involved.
Police said the man was 76 years old but the Eyewitness News radio report said he was 78.
