Nel-Peters was crowned at Sun City on Sunday and succeeds Ntandoyenkosi Kunene.
“I want to be that relatable Miss South Africa who is authentic and true to herself so that people can see a little bit of themselves in me.”
She says it’s now about striking a balance between staying true to herself and her responsibilities to the nation.
“As Miss South Africa, you need to remember you are representing a country and different cultures.”
Before she was crowned Miss South Africa, Nel-Peters had completed her B.Com in Business Management and Entrepreneurship and was a part-time model.
