NATIONAL NEWS - South African Minister of Water and Sanitation Senzo Mchunu had a full day yesterday, Monday 29 August, his first day of the 2022 Stockholm World Water Week.
It included promising engagements for the development and furthering of his sector in South Africa.
In the morning he took part in a key session titled “Barriers to finance for climate resilient water and sanitation services” where he was not only an attendee, but also a speaker.
The session focused on investigating the benefits and constraints that private sector financing experienced in water governance financing from different perspectives: an investment fund, a development bank, a municipality, a private firm and a non-profit organisation.
He also attended the official opening of SWWW, where he held important talks with his ministerial counterparts from other African countries such as Namibia.
