Michelle Pelser of Mondeor SAPS Sector 2 CPF put out an urgent warning by the victim after the woman managed to escape harm.
“Young female was forced off the double decker highway M1 North Johannesburg at 20:53 by a Black Sedan with a blue cop light attached to the rear-view mirror. The white man had blue slacks and a navy V-neck jersey on. He demanded that the young woman step out and open her boot and he emptied her handbag of its contents,” Pelser said.
The victim requested official police identification, which was ignored by the man, who stated that a blue BMW was reported stolen. This alarmed her as she’s on all the CPF groups and their updates stated a blue Opel was stolen.
“He became verbally abusive and she saw four men in the black Sedan. She was petrified, and knew he was going to force her into the boot. By God’s grace she escaped around her vehicle and sped off. They followed her, but obviously couldn’t keep up,” added Pelser.
