GEORGE NEWS - George Police have opened a culpable homicide docket after a fatal crash in CJ Langenhoven Street last Wednesday, 15 May, claimed the lives of two young people from George. The deceased, a woman and a man, were in their mid-20s.
According to Western Cape police spokesperson Lt Col Malcolm Pojie, it is alleged that the driver of a white NP 200 lost control of the vehicle. "It collided with a tree near the entrance of Heatherlands High. Both succumbed to multiple injuries they sustained," said Pojie.
No other vehicles or people were involved.
The names of the deceased were not released by the police.
