NATIONAL NEWS - This year's theme for Africa Youth Day is "Youth voices against corruption in Africa". The day is commemorated today, 1 November, at the African Union commission (AUC) headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and across the African continent by youth development organisations, civil society institutions and public sector departments.
Locally, the founder of Guidy Worx, Hein Scheepers, says that this event will bring young people together to commemorate Africa Youth Day with the objective of creating, maintaining and increasing awareness of the public on the critical role young people play in the transformation of society.
Guidy Worx strongly believes that the youth are seeds that need to be watered in order for them to flourish and blossom most beautifully and uniquely.
“We believe in the enhancement and grooming of these young ones’ potential in order to unleash greatness in them. We continue to energetically and enthusiastically keep pushing forward in the pursuit of greatness out of the young people of our continent,” said Scheepers.
