KNYSNA NEWS - Local event organisers, Better Live, have curated a brand new festival for music fans in Knysna.
The new concept, Knysna INDIE Festival, is the brainchild of both Dominic Morel (local advertising stalwart and owner of Better Live Events) and Riaan Smit (musician and international events organiser) and will be hosted at Blend Country Restaurant on Sunday 8 September from 12h30 till 20h00.
The Knysna INDIE Festival ("INDIE" meaning "independent musicians", rather than a genre of music) is aimed at being a "celebration of freedom, authenticity and family", says Morel. Going against the grain of the traditional late-night parties, the organisers have opted to arrange a daytime event that is family-friendly, relaxed and enjoyable.
There will be spot prizes, kids' activities and artist interaction at the venue.
The out-of-town artists that will be performing are Crimson House, Keanan Eksteen, Nomadic Orchestra, Bad Peter, Shaza and James Smith.

The local artists that will perform are Queen Justice, Hannah Morris, Ace Maclein (ft, Tokyo), and Irene on saxophone.
Shaza, Knysna local, features on multiple SA radio stations in the top 10 in the country.
Tickets are available at quicket.co.za or from Blend (credit card). Follow on Facebook: /BetterLiveSA for more. For enquiries WhatsApp 082 417 2503.
