Information available indicates that four adults were inside the dwelling, a wooden structure, at the time of the incident. One of the victims is still in hospital.
Investigation into this matter is still at an early stage and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
Names of the deceased, released by the police are Anthony Levack (53) from Fontein Street, Hornlee, Gail Janklaas (44) from Oupad and Ivan Paulse (49) also from Oupad.
The investigation into the fire continues, said spokesperson for Knysna police, Chris Spies.
