KNYSNA NEWS - Vermont Old Age Home celebrated its 28th birthday in Vermont Hall on 20 October.
Staff, board members and stakeholders paid homage to the home and its significance.
Rhoda Hendricks, a social worker, founded the facility in 1995 to give the elderly in Hornlee a secure haven.
The centre's substantial contribution to elderly citizens' lives and well-being was celebrated and participants expressed their appreciation and respect to the personnel for their unwavering dedication and warmth.
The board of directors' representatives also recognised the important milestones the centre had reached and thanked the staff for their dedicated work.
Attendees gathered in the Vermont Hall to celebrate the centre's 28th birthday.
