KNYSNA NEWS - The municipal services at the main municipal building have been disrupted following the vandalism of fibre and network cables supplying internet and communication services to the facility.

The municipality confirmed this incident has left the main building without internet connectivity and telephone services, which may result in delays in responding to public enquiries and providing certain administrative services.

The municipality’s spokespersons said the disruption is limited to the main municipal building, and technical teams are currently working to implement temporary repairs while the efforts to fully restore the damaged infrastructure continue.

The municipality’s information and communication technology (ICT) team is prioritising these restorations and has assured residents that every effort is being made to reconnect the internet and telephone services as soon as possible.

Residents are urged to be patient while the repair work is under way, and the municipality apologised for any inconvenience.
