KNYSNA NEWS - A shooting incident was allegedly reported in Bongani, Knysna, on Thursday night, 20 August, with unconfirmed reports that two people were shot.

The identities of the two people have been established by the Knysna-Plett Herald, but official confirmation is still being awaited. Their conditions could not be independently confirmed at the time of publication.

There are also unconfirmed reports that other people may have been injured, with emergency and ambulance services reportedly requested to attend to possible victims.

Police have not yet confirmed the shooting, the identities or conditions of those reportedly involved, or the circumstances surrounding the incident.

It is also not yet known whether any arrests have been made.

The reported incident comes hours after the reported fatal shooting of former Knysna Executive Mayor and ANC Ward 8 councillor Aubrey Tsengwa.
