KNYSNA NEWS - Two men have been arrested in connection with the alleged abduction and murder of two men in Knysna earlier this week.

According to a statement from the Southern Cape Police’s spokesperson, Warrant Officer Chris Spies, the two suspects are expected to make their first court appearance in the Knysna Magistrate’s court today, Friday 10 July.

“Investigation revealed that, on Monday 6 July at about 06:00, two men were dragged from a shack near Mbetane Street, Khayalethu, in Knysna. The pair were taken to Bongani, Knysna, where they were assaulted. Both victims, aged 33 and 44, sustained serious injuries and were transported Knysna Provincial Hospital. The victims were declared deceased by medical personnel later. The suspects, aged 33 and 42, remain in police custody and are each facing two counts of murder and kidnapping,” the statement read.

Spies said the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may follow as detectives pursue further leads.
