KNYSNA NEWS - With its recent exhibition of hand work from members past and present, the Knysna Embroiderers Guild raised R4 462 in aid of the Knysna/Sedgefield Hospice.
The exhibition, titled Past, Passed and Present, was held at the Amble Ridge Retirement Village on Wednesday and Thursday, 14 and 15 September.
It showcased the work of members of the guild, with the addition of extra works by the talented ladies of the Garden Route. Lesley Delport Turpin and Colleen Goy each gave a talk about their embroidery journey.
"Special thanks to Grace and the management of Amble Ridge Retirement Village for allowing us to use their amazing function room as a venue," said guild member Berenice Prentice.
"Thank you to all of those who exhibited and those that came to see such a wonderful range of skilled work."
