GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The birding community in Knysna, Sedgefield and the Lakes area of the Garden Route will show off its best plumage in May when over 150 visitors from throughout South Africa, and even some international visitors, converge on the Garden Route for the annual BirdLife South Africa "Flock to Wilderness" birding get-together.
Many excursions have been planned for 25 and 26 May, including a pelagic bird sight-seeing trip out of Knysna, led by expert Tim Carr, who has co-ordinated a team of local expert birders to show visitors the "special" bird species found only along the Garden Route and its indigenous forests.
